BACP Conducts ‘How to do Safe Business with Russia’ Seminar in collaboration with LCCI

Lahore, 11 March 2020: Business Association for Cooperation with Pakistan (BACP) conducted a seminar ‘How to do Safe Business with Russia’ in coordination with LCCI. It was attended by Mr Irfan Ali Sheikh – President LCCI, Mr Mian Zahid Jawaid Ahmad – Vice President LCCI and a number of businessmen and entrepreneurs from a wide array of fields. Mr Habib – Honorary Counsel for Russian Federation attended the seminar as the Chief Guest.
Mr Jawad Rehman – President BACP gave the introduction and the background about the existing Pakistan-Russia bilateral trade relations and bright future prospects. Mr Jawad also highlighted the potential of Pakistani products to enter Russian market while also emphasizing that current bilateral trade volume of Pak-Russia trade was very small in comparison to the vast opportunities available.

Mr Irfan Ali Sheikh – President LCCI welcomed Team BACP and appreciated the efforts being put in by Mr Jawad Rehman for introducing and channeling the attention of Pakistani business community towards one of the biggest and opportune market i.e. Russian Federation. Mr Irfan Ali Sheikh also apprised about the efforts of LCCI to improve ‘Ease of Doing Business’ aspect for enhanced trade between Pakistan & Russia. He emphasized that the growth in exports by Pakistani businesses is the best way to improve the economic situation of the country. Subsequently, Ms Madina Tavitova Gerorgvina – Business Consultant ex BACP gave a comprehensive briefing about the various aspects of the doing safe business in the Russian market, its requirements and pros & cons. Later, the Q & A session turned into a very active interactive session where most of the issues were addressed.

Mr Habib – Honorary Counsel for Russian Federation in his remarks applauded Mr Jawad Rehman and Team BACP for the foresight and remarkable effort to draw attention towards a Super Power Market with enormous bilateral trade potential that is ready for Pakistani produce.

Complimentary Membership of BACP was also offered to the participants of the seminar that features benefits and facilities for the members.
Next seminar on the subject is scheduled at Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry on March 12, 2020.
