(10 April, Minsk-Belarus) The official visit of Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif to Belarus will open a new page in Belarusian Pakistani cooperation, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Republic of Belarus Aijaz Muhammad highlighted.
HE Aijaz Muhammad emphasized that the visit is aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two countries, including in trade, investment, agriculture and industry. “The foundation for this visit was laid during the Belarusian Pakistani events held the day before. First of all, this was the eighth meeting of the Pakistani Belarusian intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation held in Minsk in February.
HE Aijaz Muhammad said that since the establishment of diplomatic relations, Belarusian Pakistani ties have been developing at an unprecedented pace. High-level visits between our two countries are becoming more frequent, the most recent of which was the visit of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko to Pakistan in November 2024. Following the talks, a roadmap for comprehensive cooperation between Belarus and Pakistan for 2025-2027 and a number of other international documents were signed.
