The Pakistan-Russian Trade and Investment Forum was held in Moscow, Russia, becoming a landmark event in bilateral trade relations between Pakistan and Russia. Led by Federal Minister for Privatization, Board of Investment & Communication, Mr. Abdul Aleem Khan, a delegation of 60 Pakistani companies participated in the forum, seeking to strengthen economic ties and explore new business opportunities. The inaugural Pakistan-Russia Trade and Investment Forum marks an important moment in the economic relationship between the two countries.

President BACP Jawad REHMAN discusses with the delegates need of increasing collaboration between Russia, Pakistan and the Brics Plus+ countries, as two emerging economies in the world, Pakistan and Russia have the potential to significantly enhance their economic cooperation and create opportunities for growth and development. The connectivity between Pakistan through Central Asin States to Russian Federation holds immense opportunities and great possibilities for growth and development which required to be untapped. Both countries possess valuable resources and capabilities that can complement each other. Pakistan, with its young and growing population, offers a vast consumer market for Russian goods and services. On the other hand, Russia’s advanced technology and expertise can help Pakistan improve its infrastructure and industrial capabilities.

Representatives of more than 60 Pakistani companies attended the forum. Representatives of various sectors of the Pakistani economy were present, including textiles, ready-made garments and accessories, leather goods and sporting goods, pharmaceuticals, agriculture and food, logistics services and tourism. Representatives of Russian government agencies, regional chambers of commerce and industry and the banking sector also participated in the event.
