Team Sakafat Forever’s Attends TEXPO-2019

From 12-14 April 2019, Pakistan’s Largest Textile Exhibition TEXPO-2019 took place in the sprawling Expo Center at Lahorethe heart of Pakistan with over 200 Exhibition stands of local brands and factories there. Bed linens, garments, leather items, sports goods etc were there. In fact, every textile produce for which Pakistan is famous was presented and offered. Local manufacturers showcased the goods ranging from oriental carpets and soft terry towels to elegant silk dresses and the finest leather products that they can supply to the world market. There was also a collection of raw-cotton at the exhibition. In TEXPO-2019, around 231 Exhibitors including leading Fashion Designers and Textile Houses from across Pakistan displayed their products while Retail Brands also showcased their latest collections.

It is to be noted that Pakistan is the 3th largest cotton producer and 4th largest textile producer in the world. Textiles are one of the major articles of trade of the Islamic Republic wherein more than half of all exports consist of of yarn, fabrics, bed linens and readymade garments. Last year’s sales exceeded US $ 13 Billion with Germany, Italy, Spain, France, UK and the  USA as the main buyers. In the emerging environment, Pakistan has exhibited keen interest in the prospective Russian market.

Delegations from assorted countries including Russia, China, Czech Republic, Germany, France, Spain, Netherlands, UK, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Nigeria and USA actively took part in the TEXPO. Prominent buyers who attended the TEXPO-2019 included Orient International Holding (China), Versaudet (France), Tendam (Spain),  Ituri (Spain), Fashionlinq BV (the Netherlands), Primark (UK), Uniqlo Co Ltd (Japan), Target Inc (USA) etc.

Pakistan’s textile extravaganza TEXPO-2019 attracted over half a billion US $ trade through export orders by foreign buyers as Trade agreements worth US $600 Million were signed. Around 363 foreign buyers from more than 50 countries placed orders at the event. The process is likely to continue as stated by Mr Ahmed Nawaz Sukhera – Pakistan’s Commerce Secretary.

Mr Jawad Ur RehmanMD Business Association for Cooperation with Pakistan (BACP) formed part of the Russian Delegation attending the Expo. The Russian entrepreneurs lauded TEXPO-2019 and highlighted its importance vis-a-vis Russian market. Mr Alexey Pospelov – Development Director of Bike-Land Group of Companies stated that it had been over a year that they have been cooperating with leading Pakistani companies for placing orders at local factories.

Team SF attended the TEXPO-2019 and interacted with many local entrepreneurs & craftsmen as well as held meetings with foreign delegates visiting the Expo. Team SF & BACP felt confident to fill in the vacuum in facilitating the Russian businessmen and companies interested in business dealings and ventures in Pakistan. BACP has enabled itself in collaboration with SF to assist and provide all necessary guidance, facilitation and processing as a reliable stake holder to all interested entrepreneurs mainly from Russia. Team SF & Mr Jawad Ur Rehman made good use of the opportunity to act as a bridge between the Russian delegates and the Pakistani exhibitors and entrepreneurs in cementing the business relations, further. Pakistani authorities have also announced new policy to improve the business climate.
