Visit to Belarusian Universal COMMODITY EXCHANGE in Minsk Belarus

Mr. Jawad Rehman Slehria – President BACP along with his team members visited Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (‘BUCE’) in Minsk, Belarus. Mr. Kovalchuk Yaroslav Sergeevich – Assistant to the Chairman of the Board and Ms. Kravchenya Irina – Foreign Relation Department welcomed the guests. Both sides discussed impact of Russia-Ukraine crises with particular emphasis on bi-lateral trade between Pakistan & Belarus and the impact of sanctions on bi-lateral trade. The parties further discussed ways and mechanisms for promotion of trade between the two countries. It is worth mentioning here that BUCE is the only commodity exchange in the Republic of Belarus and the largest spot exchange in Eastern Europe. Established in 2004, with 29,000 clients and handling transactions of about 400,000 every year with average annual turnover of around USD 4 billion.
